I retrained as a stone carver, letter cutter and architectural mason in 1999 and have been self-employed ever since, making headstones and memorials, lettering panels, relief carvings and small sculptures.
I love working on deep relief carvings, such as my 'St Michael', installed on the west front of Stinsford Church.
I also relish renovation work, such as the pinnacles on Strangways Hall in Abbotsbury, which are exact copies of original Victorian stonework.
I often lead carving workshops with children and adults, privately or in local schools.
For the last few years I have run Artsreach workshops in stone carving during the school summer holidays.
The next of these is on 29th July in Martinstown, then the 15th August in Sixpenny Handley.
