I rarely plan my work, preferring it to develop spontaneously - although I usually have a fair idea of how it needs to take form.
When out sketching, I prefer to use diagrams of shapes and compositions – putting colours and ideas for later work.
My studio is in a beautiful garden, where I am fortunate to have plenty of inspiration and tranquility! I love to work outside especially along the Dorset coastline
It is a constant struggle to achieve something new and exciting and I try to use different techniques and ideas as much as possible to this end.
I work in various media – mixed media and oils are my preferred mediums.
I seem to have a need to paint and can’t wait to start on a new piece.
