Peter M J Lightfoot

Bio

I'm a Dorset figurative painter, illustrator and designer who has drawn and painted throughout my life and I work in a variety of media; and with a passion for light, colour and atmosphere.
I currently work in Oils, Gouache and Watercolour, and maintain a close interest in maritime, aviation and industrial subjects; their renderings rank equally with my interpretations of land, sea and coastal-scapes and portraiture.
In November 2005 I was elected to full membership of The Chelsea Art Society and served on their Council. I have also supported other art societies and their exhibitions: RSMA, RWA, the Guild of Aviation Artists, Poole & East Dorset Art Society and Dorchester Art Club.
I was a Director of/and participated in Dorset Art Weeks 2000- 2008; was elected to full Membership of the G.Av.A in 2011 and until recently was their West Region Organiser. In 2008 I became a mentor to the Chetnole Art Group, which continued until 2012.
